Traditional styles are 17th and 18th century interpretations of the design and architecture of ancient Greece, and Rome. Displaying restraint, harmony, proportion and reason, the grand Greco-Roman style uses sparse ornamentation, chaining, beaded moldings, and large turned posts. Using hardwoods, such as cherry and oak, Traditional furniture represents the art of rich ancient cultures that flourished long before the Dark Ages, and was the basis of pre-industrial Europe.
